THE FULL STORY

Made the slow way
We make our bakhoor in small batches around two of perfumery's oldest materials, oud and frankincense, balanced with our own blend of natural aromatics. Every piece is blended and shaped by hand, then left to dry in its own time.

Before you light it
Lift the lid and lean in. Before any heat touches it, the bakhoor already smells beautiful: soft lavender and frankincense, fresh and calming, like linen dried outdoors. You'll find yourself opening the jar just to smell it.

The first minute
The moment it catches, the frankincense reaches you first. It's bright and almost citrus, with a peppery, pine-needle edge. It doesn't fill your room so much as clear it, clean the way a cold morning is clean.

The heart
Give it a few minutes and the oud rises underneath. It starts as dry wood, like the inside of a freshly split log. Then it deepens into something darker and quietly sweet: worn leather, dark honey, and a smokiness that comes from the wood itself rather than the coal. The frankincense softens into a warm, balsamic glow, and the two settle into each other until you can no longer tell where one ends.

What stays with you
When the smoke clears, your room keeps a quieter version of it for a day or two: resinous, gently sweet, woody. It finds its way into curtains, cushions and wool. Reach for your scarf the next morning and it's still there. That's the part people come back for.

Choose your heat
On charcoal: fast, full and generous. A piece burns for 3 to 5 minutes, with the oud's smoky, darker side leading. Use it when you want the room transformed in minutes.
On an electric heater: set it low and a single piece gives off aroma for around 30 minutes. The bright opening lingers, and the oud slowly shows its honeyed side.

Charcoal gives you intensity. Gentle heat gives you time to follow every stage.

Open the jar. Break off a piece. Let your home take it from there.

Handmade in small batches. Naturally aromatic. Built around real oud and frankincense.
