Oud, Perfume & Incense Care
Good storage helps protect the character and condition of fragrance products.
Oud Oils
Keep oud oil:
-
securely closed
-
away from direct sunlight
-
away from excessive heat
-
in a clean, dry storage area
Avoid leaving the bottle open for extended periods.
Perfume
Store perfume away from:
-
direct sunlight
-
radiators
-
hot windowsills
-
repeated extreme temperature changes
A cool cupboard or drawer is generally preferable to a bright display area exposed to heat.
Oud Chips
Keep agarwood chips:
-
dry
-
securely contained
-
away from unnecessary moisture
-
away from strong external odours
Natural wood can absorb surrounding smells, so clean storage is important.
Bakhoor
Keep bakhoor tightly closed when not in use to help preserve its aromatic character.
Use clean utensils when removing pieces from the container.
Frankincense & Resins
Store aromatic resins in a sealed container in a dry location away from excessive heat.
Natural resins may vary in colour and appearance over time.
Keep Fragrance Separate From Heat Equipment
Store oud, bakhoor and fragrance away from:
-
lit charcoal
-
hot burners
-
torch lighters
-
flames
-
other heat sources
